July was a very busy month for our office and community. We hosted our 3rd Entrepreneur Conference for businesses on the Wai’anae Coast. We also hosted the 5th community clean up and hauled 6.2 tons of illegal dumping off the road! We want to thank Lennox Metals and Aiwohi trucking for helping haul old desks and shelves from Barber’s Point Elementary prior to the start of school.
On July 30th, we participated in a community painting project at Barber’s Point Elementary. Principal Riel has just assumed leadership at the school in February 2016 and was looking to give the school a facelift. We want to thank close to 100 community volunteers, teachers, staff, Ka Pa’alana Staff and families, superintendent Armstrong, Kapolei HS student government and many other for lending a helping hand! It was truly a labor of love!
