OAHU, Hawaii – April 27, 2016 – Ko Olina Resort’s beachfront will play host to a day of festival-style screenings, live performances, entertainment acts, “dive-in” beach movies and more. For the grand finale, the Festival presents a special appearance by internationally renowned ukulele virtuoso and composer, Jake Shimabukuro and the Disney Channel’s newest short film, Ku’u Lei Melody.

The Festival will take place from 1:00 p.m.–8:00 p.m. throughout Ko Olina’s Kohola Lagoon 1 and Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa. For the third consecutive year, 100 percent of ticket proceeds benefit Kapi‘olani Medical Center for Women & Children, the largest health care provider and front-runner in care for women, infants and children in Hawaii. Tickets are priced at $25 for adults ($30 at the door), $10 for kids 12 and under and may be purchased here. The Festival is complimentary for keiki three years and younger. Signage will direct attendees to a designated parking area at $10 per car and guests will be shuttled to the Festival grounds.

FESTIVAL BEACH WALKWAY

Grab n’ Go Food: Enjoy ono food specialties from Aloha Pops, Bao Boys Hawaii, Little ‘Opihi’s, ‘Nalo Lemonade, and Onomono.

Activity Tents: First Hawaiian Bank, Pearlridge Center, Keiki ID, face painting, tattoo and balloon artists

 

KAPIʻOLANI MEDICAL CENTER ACTIVITY TENT

1:00 P.M.

Kids learn about sun & safety tips through fun interactive games. Complete each activity for a prize (while supplies last).

2:00 – 4:00 P.M.

Take a picture with Tucker, Kapi‘olani’s beloved therapy dog.

 

AULANI, HALAWAI LAWN STAGE

1:15 P.M.

Live Performance: Pas de Deux Hawaii

Pas de Deux Hawaii is about passion, education and excellence in the performing arts. Enjoy a selection of ballet, jazz, hip-hop and hula performances along with amazing keiki vocalists.

2:15 P.M.

Live Performance: Chamber Music Hawaii

Chamber Music Hawaii’s Spring Wind Quintet is recognized as one of the country’s leading wind groups. This interactive educational program includes descriptions of the instruments, plus a variety of Hawaiian and Classical selections, including those by Keola Beamer, Charles King, Alex Anderson, Malcolm Arnold -plus a very special selection by the composer ‘Anonymous’: The Mouthpiece Serenade!

Live Performance: Pow! Wow! School of Music

Featuring talented young musicians ages 13-18, who collaborate with music industry professionals and each other to create original music.

Aloha Fun with Disney Friends

An enchanting journey into Hawaiian culture and traditions that unfolds through song and dance. Hula performances and live music with popular Disney characters!

Honolulu Community College Music & Entertainment Learning Experience (MELE) Studio

Check out HCC’s sound studio and learn to record, edit and mix like the pros. Interactive fun includes loopers, drum machines, processors and DJ equipment.
